Can I pursue a claim years after the incident occurred?

Sometimes it is possible to pursue a claim even after some time has passed, but it depends on your circumstances. Typically, a person must file a personal injury or product liability claim within a year of being harmed by someone else’s actions or a defective product. However, the discovery rule allows people with injuries or illnesses not reasonably detectable soon after the accident to pursue claims past one year.
