Single-car crash kills one

A single-vehicular accident that happened shortly after 2 a.m. on Sunday, June 5 along Kentucky 492 just outside of Morganfield in Union County, Kentucky resulted in the death of an individual.

The victim was a 16-year-old Sebree girl, who was a passenger in a Dodge Durango driven by a 19-year-old Morganfield man.

Police said the two had not been wearing seat belts when the accident occurred, causing them to get ejected from the SUV.

The girl was declared dead on arrival at the Methodist Hospital Union County while the man was taken to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville in Vandenburgh County, Indiana and was listed under stable condition.
