Two-vehicle collision in Madisonville hurts one

Madisonville, Kentucky resident James Allison sustained non-life-threatening injuries in a two-vehicle collision that occurred in the 200 block of Beulah Road last Monday, September 19.

According to preliminary investigations made by the Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office, Marilyn Montgomery was headed west in a small truck along the highway when the accident occurred. She made a left turn into a parking lot, and crashed into the motorcycle that Allison was operating. Allison was taken by Med Center Ambulance service to Baptist Health Hospital for immediate treatment of his non-life-threatening injuries. No party involved in the accident was seriously injured.

New Cut Road motorcycle-pickup truck collision kills one

An individual lost his life during a motorcycle-pickup truck collision that occurred along New Cut Road in Louisville, Kentucky last Tuesday, July 26.

The victim was identified as 29-year-old Jeffersonville resident Jonathan Martin. According to preliminary investigations, Martin was riding his motorcycle down the road when it collided with a pickup truck that was pulling a trailer. A woman who was riding with Martin on the motorcycle sustained critical injuries during the crash. She and Martin were not wearing helmets at the time of the incident. The driver of the pickup truck, on the other hand, did not sustain any injuries.
